Between February and May 2025, Militzer & Münch delivered a complete glass bottle production line from China to Uzbekistan for one of the world’s leading soft drink manufacturers. A special large-scale project in a demanding market – and therefore exactly the right job for Militzer & Münch.
Hefei in eastern China, a few hundred kilometers from Shanghai, and Samarkand in eastern Uzbekistan are more than four and a half thousand kilometers apart as the crow flies – and even further by land. The road transport experts at Militzer & Münch had to overcome this enormous distance. The goods to be transported: a complete glass bottle production line, including parts and accessories, with a total weight of 336 tons and a volume of around 1,900 cubic meters for an industrial beverage bottling plant. The transport was carried out in three parts. Militzer & Münch used a total of 25 standard trucks and five flatbeds for oversized freight.
“We were exactly the right people for this project,” says Sukhbat Dumakhanov, Head of Road Freight at M&M Militzer & Münch Uzbekistan. “We have known the customer for years and maintain a close, trusting relationship. Whether international or national transport, we have been working together successfully for a long time. Our strong presence in China also contributed to the project’s success; we’ve repeatedly demonstrated that we can totally master even complex challenges.”
Fast transport thanks to good planning
As always, the project had to be completed within tight deadlines. To avoid delays as much as possible, the trucks bypassed border crossings between China and Kyrgyzstan that are prone to traffic jams and delay times, opting instead for less congested alternatives. As a result, the standard trucks reached their destination in just 15 to 16 days, and the flatbed trucks in 18 to 20 days.
“We always want to offer reliable, flexible, and high-quality solutions,” says Sukhbat Dumakhanov. “I look forward to supporting our customers with their projects in the future, no matter where they are.”
